It’s hard to believe, yet humanitarian vehicles– trucks clearly noted as bringing food and aid– were hit in Gaza again. World Food Kitchen has no idea the amount of were lost.
I know it happens. These vehicles and the workers are targeted occasionally, but generally it is by random gangs or rebels like in the Congo or other parts of rural Africa, not by a country recognized by the United Nations.
This isn’t some rogue militia (or is it?). This is Israel, targeting aid meant for people (primarily children) who are depriving and passing away in unimaginable conditions.
Think about that. These aren’t simply any kind of trucks. These are vehicles from companies like Globe Central Kitchen Area, which has actually gotten on the ground in Ukraine because the beginning of the battle and has actually never ever been hit or targeted by Russia, as far as I understand. Allow’s call it what it is: genocide. Whole family members are being wiped out, neighborhoods flattened, and individuals left behind are depriving, determined, and forgotten. The wrongs in Palestine are so blatant it feels surreal to enjoy the world not do anything– or worse, actively support it.
This is a new Holocaust, and history is duplicating itself while individuals with the power to quit it are remaining on their hands or writing the checks that make it feasible.
I’m not a historian or a politician, yet I recognize incorrect when I see it. And this? This is as incorrect as it obtains. Exactly how do we ever clarify this to future generations? Exactly how do we see infants, youngsters, grandmas, doctors risking their lives to aid others, become straw for this bullshit war?
Don’t even get me begun on the animals and the environment and monoliths that have actually survived countless years simply to be squashed by this maniacal tribe of religious zealots.
Just how can we see the worst happening once more and do nothing?
